UNESCO, in partnership with the Governments of Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Vincent and the Grenadines will execute the Small Island Developing States Inclusive Initiative on Media and Information Literacy in the Caribbean (SIM Caribbean). These initiatives include targeted interventions as well as regional engagements to support Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS) as they digitally transform. Funding for SIM Caribbean is provided by the Multi-Donor Programme on Freedom of Expression and the Safety of Journalists.
To meaningfully engage aspiring and current content creators, journalists and social media influencers, UNESCO and the Governments of Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Vincent and the Grenadines will execute the SIM Caribbean Content Creators Webinar and welcome your virtual participation. The Webinar will focus on:
Journalism Ethics and Standards,
Developing Research and Fact-checking Skills,
Countering Misinformation, Hate Speech, and Gender Disinformation,
Intellectual Property, and
Navigating Mental Health Management Online.
